Christmas Lights On
Edinburgh Lights Up
At the start of Edinburgh's winter festival each year, a Lights Up ceremony is held near the huge Christmas Tree on the Mound. This year's event was a bigger affair than usual and we were asked to provide some extra effects. As the tree lights went on we fired 2 minutes of pyrotechnics around the tree followed by 2 minutes of larger aerial mortars from the gardens to signal to everyone in Princes Street that Christmas had begun and the German Market was officially open.
