Bedford Festival of Fire & Light

We were delighted to win the contract to create Bedford’s 2010 Festival of Fire & Light. The crowds on the river bank were entertained to a 20 minute show of fireworks, music, flames, lighting & dancing water fountains.

With crowds viewing along a 300m river frontage we had to ensure that the entire audience could view the show  from wherever they were. This involved firing from 11 firing positions simultaneously.

Wembley Challenge Cup

Following the success of our Truss arch at the Challenge Cup Final 2010, from which we fired the pyrotechnics, the same feature was requested again in 2011. The truss was wheeled on and off the pitch and a newly designed pyrotechnic sequence was fired from the truss as the teams ran onto the pitch. Adding the height of the truss allows the entire stadium to see the sequence, helping to build the atmosphere for the final match.

5th November Wedding Display

PYRO1 are preferred suppliers at the De Vere Hotel in Theobalds Park, so were more than happy to provide a display for a couple’s wedding on 5th November. Whilst it is our busiest night of the year we arranged with the venue and the couple that two crew would arrive following the completion of another local community display. The couple and their guests thoroughly enjoyed the display which made the day that extra bit special.

Downing College May Ball 2011

Our sister company Aquabatics were approached to provide a number of water features for the Atlantis themed ball at Downing College. Because we had crew on site for the duration of the event we were able to quote more competitively for the Firework Display on the evening. We used the same transport and crew so provided a 15 minute choreographed firework display for the students. The music was entirely from Swan Lake which gave us some challenges when choreographing the display, however the organising committee were over the moon.
